She played forward for JJ Pearce High School in her formative years and out of necessity became a goalie in her final year of high school.  Heralded as the starting goalkeeper for the UIL Texas High School All-Century team, Coach Leraas went on to play for The University of Texas at Austin.  She quickly became the University’s record holder for saves, shutouts, wins, and all-around awesomeness.

She began coaching straight out of college at Plano West Senior High School, winning the Texas Class 5A state championship in only her second year as an assistant coach.  She then began the Frisco girls soccer program in 2000 and has been Frisco's head coach ever since.  She took her 2004 team to the state tournament, and just a few years ago was ousted late in the playoffs by eventual champion and her alma mater, JJ Pearce.

In addition to soccer, Coach Leraas also played basketball in high school. At UT Austin, she was a scholarship athlete and majored in Kinesiology and minored in Education and Psychology.  She played Division I youth soccer for over 7 years on the D'Feeters ‘76 team.  In addition to coaching Frisco High School Girls Varsity Soccer team, Coach Leraas has also coached club with Andromeda.
